Kenmore 80 Series stopped cold

My washer recently stone cold quit. We have never had this problem before. It was a large load and started normal but when I came in to check on it - it had filled with water but nothing else. First I tried restarting it numerous times, then I checked the power cord, plug, and breaker. Then I took about half the load out to make sure it wasn't too full (but it's been filled more full then this before so I didn't really think this was the problem). I also made sure the plastic piece on the lid was fitting properly into the hole on the top of the washer.

The washer makes no sounds, movements, water refill, etc. - nothing.

Any thoughts/direction would be greatly appreciated.
