Ok so let's ignore the fact that it's only a few days until Christmas and my oven is not working...
We have a ONE YEAR OLD Frigidare electric range and the bake element doesn't heat when you turn the oven on. Broil works fine. We removed the element and tested it with a meter, that apparently is fine. When we put the element back in and plugged the stove back in, we pressed bake just for fun and low and behold, it started heating up. So we thought we had "fixed" it...well we tried this morning and we're back to the same problem. The element isn't heating up. The element is really expensive and from what we've tried, it doesn't seem like that's the problem. Neither of us are particularly handy when it comes to this sort of thing so laymans terms please. We're trying to avoid the repairman fees at this point because of employment issues, however I'm not optimistic at this point.
