Hello! My whirlpool oven is malfunctioning in a couple different ways. A week ago I noticed that the bottom heating element in the oven was heating up but not the top one (we couldn't broil foods and foods weren't browning properly). Then yesterday while i was baking at 350 the oven suddenly locked and the top element began working and now the bottom one won't heat. I think it was in self cleaning mode because the top element continued to heat so much that it burned the food that I was cooking. We turned the power off and let it cool down until the door unlocked. Now every time we turn the power on, the top oven element heats up and locks the oven door even though we have not turned the bake option on. So we have to leave the power off completely to the oven/range. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My husband and I are clueless about these things! Thanks!
