Our Frigidaire freezer model# LFFU2067DS0 8 yrs. old was working fine until last week. Then we noticed an issue, the stuff on the top was getting soft while the bottom stuff was still frozen. I emptied it today and found the back bottom panel had about a 1/4 to 1/2 of frost on it. When I took out the back panel I was able to see the coils were completely frosted/frozen over. I wasn't sure if this could just happen or if something more is wrong? Like the defroster or defroster timer or? The fan is working.
I see the defroster described in other post but not sure how to manually start the defroster. I have the door open and it is manually defrosting from outside heat.
If you could help me figure out what I need to test and how,it would be greatly appreciated.
