This is a side by side refridge 14 yrs old. Just recently it started to started taking longer and longer to get the water flow going after you pushed in the water lever. Once you got a flow going it would work real good but the longer in between the next usage the longer you would have to wait before a flow would start.
Yesterday we did not get water no matter how long we waited with the lever pushed in. I checked the water flow & pressure from the source and it was good. Then I changed the filter although the one in use was just recently changed as well. I did get the water to flow but again we got the same results as above.
My thought is that I have a weak solonoid valve (somewhere) that is sticky or getting low voltage that over time it responds and get you that delayed flow. Can you get me any info as to what my next step would be. This is my first attempt at a post so please bear with me.
A second question would be the connector to the water solinoid valve. I can't get it off to check the voltage. Is there a trick to getting it of or do I just have to pull harder ?
