Thought I would be proactive when my fridge started acting funny. Lights blink on the temp panel and it sounds like the compressor is starting and stopping. Temps are normal though. Had a repair tech out yesterday and he said it needs a new control panel and evaporator fan but the panel has been discontinued so good luck. He could not help me. Is this something an average guy can or should replace if I find one? I see them for sale online but I would hate to waste $300-400 if this is something I should not do. Kind of sad that you can't have an expensive 8 yr old fridge repaired.
