Won't wash or drain

Loaded the dishwasher this morning, started the cycle, washer filled with water and when it started washing, it ran for a few seconds then stopped. I can select all of the cycles on the front panel and the LEDs light as selected. When I select "drain", I can hear a low hum, like the motor is being activated, but nothing happens. It will stop humming after about 10 seconds and reselecting the drain option does nothing. If I let the washer sit for a few minutes, I can select drain, the motor hums for 10 seconds then stops humming.

Did I blow the motor? It has been making a high pitched squeal when the wash cycle is initiated, but the squeal would quiet down after a minute or so.

Some help on what might be the problem and how to disassemble to inspect would be greatly appreciated.
