I have a Kenmore 106.52562100 side-by-side. The ice maker has stopped making ice. It does not fill with water.
One day - I noticed a burning smell in the fridge/freezer - and the pillar (?) - the front part of the divider between the freezer and refrigerator was pretty warm/hot.
I turned the ice maker switch off for a while (this model has the actual slide switch on the inside right side of the freezer, and sensors). Eventually, the heat and smell went away.
Now when I turn the ice maker on nothing happens at all.
Thanks in advance for your help
EDIT: Checking the optics (though not sure what all should be done): I closed the flap/door on the left side and turned the ice maker on. I didn't see any light from the LED/light. I'm assuming that control board is fried.
