Maytag MTF1842EEW00 Freezer cold, fridge warm, water under crisper drawers

Maytag MTF1842EEW00 from Sept 2008. The freezer is cold, still making ice. Fridge is warm. Evap fan is running. I'm assuming I have a defrost issue, but wanted to get a second opinion. I know there's an element, a timer and something called a bi-metal. Is there anything under the cover at the top of the refrigerator section that might need replacing?
