He5t error code F71 after washing shoes...

After I washed a pair of tennis shoes with a load of laundry, my HE5t did not finish the cycle and it looked like the door was partially ajar. No water leakage.

I had to unplug the machine several times to get the cycle to finish and for the door to unlock. I then left the power off for 24 hours and it worked for a week. Now the display is dark and when I run the diagnostic, I get error code F71.

What other steps should I take to ensure I order the correct parts?
