I just had my brand new SHX7ER55UC dishwasher installed by a licensed plumber. After completing the cycle, there is about an inch of standing water at the bottom above the filter.
If I disconnect the drain hose into a bucket and cancel the cycle, it will drain completely.
Bosch technician found no problems with the unit and suggests there is some problem with the plumbing hookup that is slowing down the pump. My plumber insists there is no problem with the installation. The drain hose runs along the floor behind the dishwasher, then has a high loop 25" above the floor. It is connected to a 1/2" pipe sticking out from the sink drain pipe, before the P-Trap. My old Whirlpool dishwasher was connected in the same way (though I realize the pump design is different). I tried adding a 12" length of pipe with a 45-degree elbow to facilitate water sweeping into the drain but it did not make a difference.
I would appreciate any advice on how to connect the drain hose to the pipes to prevent backflow and allow the pump to drain all the water.
