I am stumped. I am trying to replace the radial bearing (or possibly the entire brake package) on my washer (depending on what it looks like once I get it off. But that's the problem...I can't seem to budge the brake package and break the torque.
I have purchased the special brake package removal tool. I have DRENCHED the entire area around the threading with PB Blaster. The retention screw and clip have been removed from the top of the break package .
I have beat this thing relentlessly using a 3 lb sledge in a counterclockwise direction and it isn't budging. The only thing that happens is that the tool slips off the brake package. This is one of the newer crimped brake packages...no screws holding it together
Any tips, ideas or tricks of how I might be able to coerce this thing off? Thanks
