Maytag ice make won't work

We have a 10 year old Maytag side by side. mzd2766gew. For the past year we have had ice making problems. It is under a Sears warranty and we are about to screen. There stand deal is they can not find anything wrong. They will not stay longer enough to see if it makes ice or not. At first it would make ice, but the cubes would stick on the top and prevent any more ice making. We do get water to the dispenser in the door but every now and then it stops. Not very often.

They did replace an item in the door that is engaged when you push your glass in. Water filters have been changed many times. On the last two visits they changed the icemaker. The first one made ice now and then, maybe dumping 1 or 2 a day. The second one will not make ice at all. It was put in about 1 week ago and has not cycled once (yes the bail is down and we have a new filter and we are getting ice to the dispenser. He has checked the temperature and both the fridg and freeze are correct. Since there is a no lemon warranty they are close to replacing it. We are really not looking for a replacement but would like it fixed.

BTW we have an older Kenmore in our granny flat. It is on the same water system and probaly has a little less pressure than the main house. It just keeps cranking out the ice. It makes a bucket full in less than a day.

This deal of staying home (6 times) for a service call is costing lots money in lost work.
