I have a this Kenmore range that is stuck in the "lite" mode. The power is disconnected now, but as soon as it is plugged in, a ticking sound is emitted.
I had a service man come to work on it, and he replaced the spark module but it continued to be in the lite mode. he then told me, he thinks it needs a new main circuit board.
he also added that he never seen a stove that sends sparks to all the burners at the same time. Is that not common?
I did some reading here and looks like one of the little switches that turns on the "lite" mode at the control knob is stuck in the on position. I asked him to try but he refused to and keeps telling me it is the main circuit board.
your thoughts?
thanks
