I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that isn't getting the dishes clean at all. First noticed that the top rack wasn't getting clean. Eventually it wasn't getting them clean on either rack. When i open the door during the initial cycle there is some water in it but it seems to be colder than it should be, and the water out of the hot water line it's hooked to is plenty hot. It has a 2 month old heating element in it. I figured it was the typical water inlet valve problem so I tested that with an ohmmeter. it is an analog ohmmeter. As I understand it, if the valve reads from 500 to 1500 ohms it's good. When tested, the needle went from zero to just under the 1 (about a quarter of the way up the scale). So that is less than 1 ohm, correct (i know, should be obvious)? Not 1000. Just want to make sure i'm reading this thing right because it looks like the scale doesn't get to 500 until it's almost as far left as it can go. If a pic of the ohmmeter is needed let me know and i'll take one tonite. thanks a bunch.
