Maytag Atlantis has trouble going to different cycles.

I have a Maytag Atlantis & just started having trouble going to different cycles " rinse, spin, wash, ect.."

When the washer fills up with water i would hear a humming sound coming from the switch. Open the door to find the tank full of water, Close the door & moves on to the next cycle.

when it gets to wash, same thing.. Full of water, dial humming. Open the door & close it & starts up the cycle.

This also happens when it moves to the spin cycle.

Any suggestions as to what the issue could be? Possible door switch could be faulty?

Any help is much appreciated.
