Hello
I have a Kenmore Elite washer that would get stuck in cycle and replaced the timer last October. It's been fine up until recently and I replaced that expensive timer again, and it worked a couple days and is getting stuck again.
The first timer was purchased from a local appliance parts house, the second from an internet parts house. I don't know the brand of the timer (not sure if different companies even make the same timer).
I'm going to have the wife show me again tonight so that I can see with my own eyes and make some measurements but she said it gets stuck at cooldown (tub is full, water stopped so I think the level sensor is fine) & the beginning of rinse (tub is full, water stopped so I think the level sensor is fine)
I'm wondering if the brands of timers I'm buying are just crap or if something else is wrong and/or damaging the timers. But since the timer appears to not advance, unless the power goes away to the motor, I don't see how that can be. And if the power were going away, then how does manually advancing it repair the cycle?
Thanx
