Let me just say, I learned more about dishwashers reading this site for two hours last night than I have in decades of owning them.
My KA dishwhasher started making a buzzing noise recently. It is most likely coming from the door (if I press on the door panel it muffles it a bit). It is towards the beginning of the cycle and lasts a minute or two. I swear it happened later in the cycle as well (rinse), but last night when I was paying attention it was just in the beginning.
Soap is dispensed, dishes seem to clean fine. It has not made this noise its entire life, which is why I would like to fix it quickly if possible.
After reading here, it seems it might be the solenoid -- but what is causing the buzzing? Loose connection? Undervolt? Is the solenoid being "active" for that long normal?
Again, this just started in the last few weeks (and with family in town, we were running the thing daily).
