Frigidaire Affinity fills, starts to tumble and stops right away.

Hi Guys,

We're having a problem with our Frigidaire Affinity washer. It starts the cycle but then just stops. I downloaded the service manual and tried to get the error codes.

The stored error code was: E68 - Current leakage to ground on heater or fuse opened.
I entered diagnostic test mode and went step by step. I had no errors until the fifth knob click where it fills and tumbles. When the drum began to move it threw an error:
E59 - No tacho signal for 3 seconds.
Then I turned the knob one more click, it drained and as soon as it started to spin it stopped and threw this error:
E52 - Bad signal from tacho generator
I went back to tumble test and got E52 again.
It once worked and didn't throw an error, when it tumbled with no clothes inside.
Once I got an E56 - high motor current, but wasn't able to replicate it.
So now when I try these two modes, I get E52 and occasionally E59. The drum does move, but it stops within 2-3 seconds after it starts with one of these errors. I think I got only E59 with some clothes inside.
I also noticed that when the drum rotates it doesn't rotate evenly, it seems to oscillate, where it moves away from the door by about 1/2 inch and then comes back. So essentially it moves in and out in sync with rotation. I doubt that it's normal but I don't know if it's related to the error codes.

We would really like to fix the washer ourselves. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you !
