Hi everyone, my kenmore washing machine won't spin for the spin cycle. It agitates normally, and drains when it should. When it should be in spin cycle, it sounds like the pump keeps running forever, but the basket never tries to spin
I've pulled the agitator out, and also pulled the motor/transmission assembly to get a better look (its sitting upright).
--The coupler has all of the nubs intact, and spins with some effort but not just super easily.
--The clutch can spin if I apply a really good amount of force, but its not spinning just real easily.
--The transmission doesn't appear to be leaking any oil, and there is no oil under the washer.
--Manually spinning the motor in one direction produces the agitate motions, but manually spinning it in the other direction seems to do nothing most of the time, but sometimes seems to move a very small amount (like a transmission slipping in a car).
What should I do next? My guess is the transmission but I'll be looking for more tests.
