I have a 7 year old Kenmore washer which is not spinning. I ran diagnostic and it seems to be passing everything else (water drain, solenoid tests, etc.) except tumbling and spinning. The error code is E59 and I ran Test 12 as suggested in technician's manual:
1- Belt looks okay and when I pin it manually the motor easily turn.
2- The resistance between pins 4 and 5 is 120ohm.
3- The resistance between pins 1, 2, and 3 is 6 ohm.
4- All connections okay.
According to the service manual, this indicate a faulty motor control board. Is this enough to confirm the problem before I order the control board?
Couple of notes:
- I saw other threads mentioning something an open fuse. Where is this fuse and can it be inspected visually.
- The last time the washer worked it was doing a final spin cycle with a heavy load. It stopped before draining all the water and never worked since.
Any additional information or diagnostic tips are appreciated.
