So, the freezer wont freeze and the fridge isn't even cold. (We have another freezer, we don't use the refridge half at all but we use the freezer half as the refridge if that makes since) When i tap or i'm ashamed to say hit the inside ware the circuit board/temperature control thermostat is onj the top of the inside refridge it kicks on. So today i took it down just to look at it, i did a tap here and there to see what i had to tap on to get it to kick on when i tapped the temperature control thermostat it kicks on, now this could be a very stupid questions but i have to ask because i know nada about refrigerators, how they work, what's what, what does what and so on, and my thinking is just because i tap that part to get it to turn on doesn't mean that's what's actually broken. So here is the possibly stupid question:
because i tap on the temperature control thermostat the fridge turns on does that mean that it is the part that is broken and needs replaced? Or could it be another part if its another part what part is it? How do i figure out what part could be broken?
