Symptoms:
Started as apparent fluctuations in freezer temperature. Not sure because we were fiddling with knobs so much and didn't give time to temperature stabilize. Nevertheless, freezer is hovering around 15-20 degrees. No colder.
Actions:
Replaced main control board.
Cleaned as well as possible around and under.
Removed freezer panel and noted ice build-up on bottom 1/4 of evaporator coils - uh oh.
Tested (continuity) defrost heater - OK.
Tested and replaced freezer thermistor - see images.
What's next? Is there a definitive test I can do to check compressor/sealed system? Should I be shopping for a new box?
One more question: Why don't these have a diagnostic port to plug my computer in?
