Hi. We are going to have to replace our no longer available motherboard, W10219463 on our KitchenAid built in bottom freezer refrigerator. We contacted KitchenAid and they recommended removing our motherboard and shipping to CoreCentric Solutions in Illinois to have the board re-built.
Question #1, Has anyone ever used this company for re-builds? They charge a fair fee of $109.00 plus shipping with a claimed 3-4 day turnaround. If so, has the board held up well?
Question #2, We do not have the skill to remove and re-install this board ourselves, so this will entail a service charge for our appliance repair company to come out and do this for us. How much do you think ballpark labor is for this type of job? How difficult is it for them to get to and remove this board safely?
We are just sick over this whole mess, as the refrigerator is built into our dream kitchen that we remodeled in 2004-5, and is a part of our custom cabinetry. We don't want to have to rip it out and start over.
Thank you for your responses.
