Dishwasher needs help getting started, blows its fuse, will run through with no green light after.

For quite a while this machine would work fine over a period of weeks and then stop after a rinse without draining. I would "Cancel," it would drain and then be okay again. A couple of years ago I bought a spare board just in case the problem became more frequent.

Recently however after a load I found the machine with its green light on indicating successful completion, but the motor was still running and would not "cancel"?! I found that the circuit on the main board (P8 to P10) that sends power to the motor was closed. Tapping the relays didn't help. The same circuit through my spare board was open, so I figured a relay was shot; and I put the spare board in. Then when I tried to start the machine it immediately turned the green light on and started the motor running?! By pressing and repressing option keys I got the machine to start normally.

The machine then ran through into its rinsing and then blew the thermal fuse leaving undrained rinse water. The heating element checked out at 17.8 ohms and had no short to ground. The operating thermostat closed at 155º F and the high-limit thermostat opened at 200º, so I bought and installed new thermostats and a new thermal fuse. I also found that the vent solenoid was frozen so I (back)ordered one of those and put the old vent back in without its solenoid and held in the open position by a piece of wire.

When I turned on the machine it again went to green light with motor running, so I again hit option keys a few times and it started normally. It got through a couple of rinses but then stopped without draining. I "Cancelled" and it drained. I got another cycle going and it got through two rinse phases and blew its thermal fuse?!

I bypassed the fuse and started another cycle. That seemed to run all the way through, but didn't turn on the green light at the end. What would you suggest so it switches on normally, doesn't blow its fuse, and ends with the green light on?
