Dishwasher not heating - already checked element

I need some help diagnosing my dishwasher problem. I recently remodeled my kitchen and when I took out my dishwasher everything worked fine. When I reinstalled it, it didn't seem to heat properly. I double checked everything and somehow I pulled a wire off the bottom of it. I plugged it back where it went, or so I thought. That didn't fix the problem and after some more careful looking, I saw that I plugged the wire into the wrong spot DOH. I believe the wire came off the Hi-Limit resistor, I plugged it onto the mounting tab by accident. When I put it back, it didn't fix the problem.

Here is what I have done to diagnose.

I checked the heating element, it shows ~12 ohms resistance, I believe that is good
I checked the resistor and it shows ~.6 ohms resistance, I believe that too is good

So, now I'm stuck.

From what I've read, the control board is all that's left??

If so, I've looked for mine and I see 2 listed.

Parts for Kenmore Dishwasher 66513289K110 - AppliancePartsPros.com

  • MFG Number W10352583

  • MFG Number W10333391

One is $20 cheaper than the other, so my luck is that it's the more expensive one lol.

Any insight is welcomed. Also, if I order a control board and replace it, and that doesn't fix it, would I be able to send it back? Any guess on how much this would cost if I called a repair guy?

Thanks in advance for any help
