The ice maker (2198597) stopped making ice. The ejector teeth were down in the tray, so I ordered a new ice maker. Once the new ice maker was installed, I noticed the ejector teeth on the new one were also down in the tray. The new maker never called for water. The black water tube is not frozen or blocked. Optics work ok ( two flashes, pause, repeat when flapper door blocks beam; solid red when unblocked). Poured water into new maker, formed ice but never ejected.
I suspect the water solenoid is faulty, but haven't checked it yet. I think the new maker may be bad since it didn't eject the ice from the poured water. What should my next steps be?? Thanks!!
