I have a 18 month old Whirlpool refrigerator model gb2fhdxwq02. Bottom freezer keeps getting about a quarter inch of ice in it and then about every 3 or so days, it must go into some kind of defrost cycle and the floor in front of it gets wet. It stared doing it about two months ago. I shut off the ice maker and it still did it, so I totally disconnected the water line and it has still done it 3 times! I take a rubber mallet and carefully crack it up and remove it into a small ice cooler. The third time was today and if it does it again, I am wondering if it is the condenser line or something like that? ( I am not much of a handyman) but don't know if that is possible. the catchment tray for evaporation looks like it is brand new.....Anyway, any suggestions about what may be up would be appreciated!
