You are my last hope. I've contacted Sears Parts Online Chat, Sears Parts Email the Expert, in person at Sears Parts and Service. No help at all. I am transporting my stackable washer/dryer 700 miles. I must lay it on it's side - no choice.
Is it necessary to secure the washer drum prior to transport, and how do I do that? Sears parts sells shipping screws (Part#131658900) and a shipping block (Part#3204380) that appear to be inserted from the bottom. These 5 items are $30 shipped, but I don't know if they'll do the job - and doesn't the drum shift when I tilt it to insert the screws and block from underneath anyway? The parts diagrams aren't very clear as to how exactly these items are inserted. Would I be just as well off if I remove the front panel and wedge foam around the drum? Or is any of this really necessary?
Please help!!!
