The other day I heard my Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher do the following after starting a Time Saver wash cycle: initial water fill, the motor did a half-second surge, the water drained, filled again and launched into the Main Wash period. It appeared to have skipped the Pre-Wash/Pre-Rinse period completely. The cycle then finished normally, as far as I could tell at the time, since I didn't hang around to watch it. Before washing the next load, I tried removing power, via the circuit breaker, for about 15 minutes and initiated another Time Saver cycle. It did the same thing as described above and at the end of the Main Wash period, it drained, filled, drained again, filled and then initiated the Final Rinse period. I do have the Tech Sheet, acquired from behind the upper kick panel. I have not tried initiating a Diagnostics Cycle or Rapid Advance feature because I'm not sure what to look for using those troubleshooting methods.
The buttons I have on my main panel are: Cycle (Pots Pans, Normal Wash, China Gentle, Time Saver, Quick Rinse) Options (Hi Temp Scrub, Sani Rinse, Air Dry) Delay Hours, Start, Cancel Drain
Thanks!
