I'm installing a new counter in a clients kitchen. Pulled their range out from the wall, installed the new counter, put the range back in its place and plugged it back in. The oven light came on as soon as I plugged the range in, and won't turn off. The button on console beeps as though it's trying to turn the light off, but it doesn't. Pushing the plunger switch that the door should press also has no effect.
I wanted to check the door switch for continuity, but can't determine how to remove it.
My two questions are:
1) Is it likely the door switch has gone bad, or is there something else I should check?
2) How to remove the door switch to check it?
Thanks in advance...
