I have a 5-10 year old Kenmore oven door that wont close.
the self latching hook works fine and isnt hitting the door, and the gasket isn't binding. the door opens and closes smoothly but just doesn't close tightly.
I took the door off and the hinges appear straight and not twisted (they aren't exactly parallel with the sides of the door, but it looks like there is built in wiggle room for that).
the right side sticks out a little more than the left and the light stays on.
if someone stood on the door would that overextend the hinges and make the door unable to close? It was like this when we bought the house so that is just an assumption.
Is there a fix besides replacing the hinges? I can get pictures up if needed.
Thank you!
