Was curious if this has ever happen to anybodys washing machine. If the washer sits for a number of hours when its empty it will collect water in the barrel of the machine. I have turned the water supply off and it still occurs so I think I eliminated the solenoid valve being bad. Also I have read about siphoning. The standpipe is roughly 25" off floor and my drain hose that comes from my washer is on the top side of washer so it basically runs down into standpipe( could this be the issue?)..I recently purchased the washer so its used and I just moved into my new house so this is all new. Or is there a filter that is clogged? any help would be great
