KitchenAid Superba Ice Maker Not Working

Recently purchased a used KitchenAid Superba side-by-side with a non-working ice maker. The previous owner told me that it originally stopped working shortly after a filter change one year, and the repairman that came out took a hair dryer to some component to get it working again. It supposedly worked fine until the next filter change and hasn't since.

I have performed the optics test and the optics appear to be working properly. I'd appreciate any help towards the "next step" in troubleshooting this problem.
