Hey All,
I have this GE coin operated dryer in a rental unit. I got a call from the tenants saying it would no longer dry. I went yesterday assuming it was the heating element, now I think differently. The dryer is getting warm, but not hot. After running for five minutes I can stick my hand in and touch the back of the drum and it is lukewarm, not hot like it should be. I researched it and the number one cause seems to be poor venting. Well this thing is blowing out a ton of air. I took off the vent hose and pulled out the lint screen just to be sure. Nothing improved. Am I right in thinking it is either the thermostat, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat? If so, how do I narrow it down? Also, am I missing anything else?
Thanks
Carl
