I have an Electrolux AEG Santo Fridge/Freezer Combo Model Number S75340KG9. It is about 3 years old and I bought it used a few days ago. It was working fine for the previous owner. My husband laid it on its back (coils are on the back) during transportation - which I explained to him was an issue after the fact. It stood upright in the kitchen for over 24 hours before we plugged it up.
Since plugging it up, it has been making a clicking sound from the back, near the compressor. It is the same click that happens when the fridge turns on to cool, but it clicks over and over. It clicks for about 2-3 minutes, then stops, but starts clicking again about 15 minutes later.
The display also flashes while the clicking is occurring, and the alarm beeps. It seems to be keeping the fridge/freezer at the proper temperatures, although it seems to be taking a while for them to get low (but maybe it should be that way). Also, the compressor is getting so hot that you cannot touch it.
Any tips or suggestions?
