Water Heater Element

I have a 50 Gallon Water heater that Just doesnt seem to provide enough Hot Water for a family of 5. I believe that one of the elements has gone south ( more then likely the bottom one ).

I'm going to replace both Elements in the unit, Top is 3800w & Bottom is 5500w.

My question is, Is there a WRONG way to wire up the new Elements I install? Every video i have watched it appears when they wire up the Elements, they are just lining up the red on top & black wire on the bottom, same way they took them off the bad one?

If there is a wrong way, How do i insure that i wire them up correctly?
