No problems until yesterday. Put a large sweatshirt load into washer. Started up fine. Performed load sensing and filling. Once it started to spin it was making a grinding and slipping noise. It was trying to spin the load but would just slip and click loudly. Never displayed an error message. Ended up removing the load and let it run through a Drain + Spin cycle to drain water and test it. Found washer could stand a leveling at front left and did so. It has successfully completed the Drain/Spin cycle numerous times with no noise and problems. Drum spins freely and silent both directions. I put in half the load on Drain + Spin and was successful. Finished full load again on Drain + Spin successful. Assumed it must have been the slightly off-level issue. Restarted full load with soap on normal cycle. As soon as it started the Spin cycle the grinding, clicking and slipping started again.
I have not started to do any testing on the stator assy yet as the motor works fine in both directions when unloaded. Bearings are silent. Acts like an old slipping belt but we don't use that old school technology these days!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where to troubleshoot from here.
Thanks.
