We just went through 4 days w/out electricity due to an ice storm. When power was returned, my Maytag dryer shows no evidence that the power returned. So did my furnace but that is another issue. No lights or noise, buttons do not click (touch screen) but no results. I pulled the top off looking for any kind of fuse, I can see none on main line coming in up to the control panel. The matching washer started up no problem. I pulled the control panel looking for any scorching, not even on the back side. No wires discolored. Nothing showing power fluctuation or melting/burning.
Can the "main switch" burn out without evidence showing on the control board?
The replacement control board is $312! Power company will hear from me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
