a short in knob mechanism. oven works, but we have to light manually stove top.

Oven works. But stove top only lights up manually with lighter. No clicking sound. One burner assembly shorts out when we turn it the ignition on.

We do not know how to access that. Maybe the igniter switch? Ours is not a twist and lift.
