Maytag washer haeting motor

Hello everyone;

This Maytag washers motor is heating up to the point where it trips a breaker! I don't believe the motor is bad as when run with no belt all is well. I haven't worked on a lot of Maytags and wondered if any of you might have a starting point in solving this problem. The drum seems to be turning free enough but there is a distinct squeal when spinning stops. Any suggestions Thanks in advance - Gordie
