I posted this a while back.
"Ok I have a Whirlpool side by side fridge that stopped cooling after moving it about 10'. It was working perfect until we rolled it from the kitchen into the other room to replace the flooring. I was handled very carefully never lifted never tilted or bounced it. I had it plugged in the other room for about two days. When we got ready to move it back I noticed it was not cold on the inside. I pulled the cover off of the back the compressor was very hot. I let it cool for several hours and plugged it back in. The compressor seems to run for about 30 seconds then the relay or switch mounted on the side of the compressor clicks and the compressor shuts off. All the fans are working everything has power. Any thoughts on what this might be."
This is the response I received
" Those machines have had problems with the start devices and that's probably whats causing the problem. Unplug the machine first. Take the start device off the side of the compressor. It pulls straight off. You might have to remove a bail wire to get it off. When you get it off, shake it. If it rattles, it's bad and needs to be replaced. "
The relay was bad "it rattled" I figured it was bad might as well look inside and found the disk ceramic or ferrite disk on the inside was busted. I ordered a new part Start Device 8201786 and installed it. "Thanks to the tech from RICK'S APPLIANCE for being spot on, on what to check."

It is plugged back in and has been running for about 2 1/2 hours, it is getting cold. I do not think it has reached a cold enough temp yet. What has me worried is that I can hear a rhythmic clicking. I timed it click 6 seconds click, 60 seconds, click 6 seconds click, repeating in that pattern. Is it just cycling more often because its trying to get down to temp? is this anything I need to worry about if it gets cold enough. How long should I give it to see if its going to get to the correct temp.
