Customers complaint was a loud knocking noise in high speed spin. I discovered the noise was due to loose bolts that secure the counterbalance on top of the outer tub. The loose bolts were causing the counterbalance to bang against the tub. My problem is that one of the plastic mounting studs that the counterbalance sits on has been worn to the point that the bolt will not snug down all the way. I was able to re-tighten the other two bolts. Although this resolved the issue, I'm sure it's a temporary fix at best due to the one loose bolt. Do any techs out there know of a service pointer addressing this issue? I would hate to condemn the outer tub over something like this. Appliance Guy
