Prior to the holidays, our icemaker stopped producing ice. As it turned out, the fill line was frozen. I thawed the fill line, and the icemaker started making ice again.
When I thawed the fill line, I pulled the fridge away from the wall, and I noticed that water was dripping from the ice maker fill line - where the poly tubing enters the back of the freezer. I investigated and found that water only leaks at the location pictured when the ice maker fills.
I haven't had any other trouble with the icemaker (i've recently had it switched off) but, I'm concerned the line into the freezer and ice maker is damaged in a location that is not easy for a novice like me to repair.
Anyone have experience with this?
Also, for background, I replaced the icemaker last year, and the unit is a side by side, Whirlpool Gold GC5SHEXNS02, counter depth model.
Thanks!
