replacing transmission oil in Maytag washer

I have a Maytag Washer model A512 that has lost it's transmission oil through the seal. I have a new seal and think I can install it but my question is how do I get oil back into the transmission after the repair, as it's not an orbital but the other transmission, and I see no way of filling it. I have a feeling that I will have to take out the tub and then the transmission so I can split it and fill with oil.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
