Electrolux 8kg front loader washer won't start

My electrolux 8kg front loader is indicating that it has finished the cycle but the towels are soaking wet and there is still a lot of water in the drain/sump.

When i turn the machine off and then back on it looks like it will select the cycles as per normal, I press start and the door looks, but then nothing at all happens, it just starts to count down, but the machine is otherwise dead.

I did the hold start & nearest selctor button & then rotate clockwise releasing the buttons and then moving slowly through all the cycles hoping to reset the machine, but still the same problem is persisting.

Through that reset cycle is there a code i should be looking for, or should i be turning off at the mains power?

Please help as I'm already behind in washing & with 6 kids it's going to pile up fast!!
