Hollow Ice and dripping dispenser Amana side by side fridge

My refrigerator needs some help. The ice cubes it makes are hollow and the door water dispenser drips especially when the icemaker fills with water. I have replaced the icemaker unit about a year ago because the surface was crumbling away. I put in a new filter a week ago which increased door water flow but didn't fix the hollow ice. I think I need to change the water control valves but am not sure if I change the primary, secondary, or both water valves. I see the secondary valve is the one that sends water to the cold water tank and the icemaker, not sure what the primary valve would do. Any advice on my next step and which valve or valves to replace?
