I have read existing threads on this problem with my model and it seems the issue is a bad bearing or broken stuts. It looks like I will need a new tub front and tub assembly. Two questions, if you please: (1) my level of repair ability is complete novice. This seems pretty invovled-taking the machine apart. Repair guy is the best way for me to go, right? (2) Assuming that' s the case, I went online at Whirlpool and made a service appointment with Dan Marc Appliance of Fairfield NJ. Do you kow of their reputation?
