Hello all, I'm new to the forum! My hats off to you techs out there that take the time to supply information to the willing homeowner. Now my dilemma!
I'll try and keep this as short as possible! I have a Kenmore Elite HE3 that is 10yrs old. I replaced the drum 6yrs ago because of broken spider which has lifetime warranty.
Sears tech came out and ordered part shipped to my house and I installed. No charge. 6yrs later, drum has failed again. After 12hrs logged on the phone, 2 sears techs at my house, I was able
to get customer solutions to ship me the drum for no charge or so I thought! 2 Months later they send me a bill for $582.69!!!!![]()
I am an EPA certified, licensed hvacR contractor and have dealt with all furnace manufacturers for warranty issues and never experienced anything like this!
I have a hard time paying for a part that has a lifetime warranty, let alone $582 for a part that I can buy for $250
Now sears customer solutions says case is closed and I owe $582! Does anyone have any suggestions?
