Maytag Dryer squeaking just weeks after I replaced the rear drum rollers and axles

My dryer has been fine for many years until it started squeaking like crazy a couple of months ago. I changed the rear drum rollers and axles. They really did look very worn out, especially the one on the right. I did notice when I was taking the dryer apart that the idler pulley was pretty stuck, and it took quite a bit strength to nudge it so I could release the belt. After I put the new rollers in and put the dryer back together, it immediately started making a clanking sound every time the drum spins around, which I am guessing is from the fairly old belt. But what is much more infuriating is that only about 4 weeks and maybe 6 uses later the dryer is starting to squeak again. I also read on other blogs that is it starts squeaking so quickly than it might be that it has the wrong kind of vent and it is over heating, but I don't think this is the case for my dryer. We've had the same standard vent for many years, and it's never been a problem until 2 months ago. So, should I take the darn thing apart again and replace the idler pulley and the belt, or do I have a bigger problem on my hands?
